Pushing Perspex’s limits

It all started with a desire to design something different. Something that was real, tangible, that didn’t live on a wall.

We created, the Phaeton Chair, for Enlightened – an exhibition exploring laser cutting in design. Elegant and graphic from one angle, whilst detailed & intricate from another, the entire chair is made of clear, 12mm Perspex® and is made up of 77 individual pieces.

From the front and rear, the Phaeton barely resembles a chair, more a rigid interlocking group of vertical and horizontal lines, where from the side it is highly flourished and fluid.

The chair was nominated for ‘Furniture Design Of The Year’ with Perspex® also featuring it as an inspirational piece on their website.

Our ambition is to create the things of tomorrow, to look look forward, and create brands that people desire.
